What’sThe OSMC About?

The Open Source Monitoring Conference is the annual meeting of international monitoring experts, where future trends and objectives are set.
Learn which monitoring and observability solutions are available and how they can best be integrated with other tools!

The three-day event comprises up to four workshops on the first day, followed by 2-3 technical tracks on the second and third day.

Costa Tsaousis

Netdata

Costa Tsaousis, is the Founder and CEO of Netdata. Since 1995, Costa has been actively working on internet related startups. He has been a co-founder and C-level executive of many successful projects, including Internet Service Providers, Cloud Hosting Providers and Fintech startups. With a passion for innovation and open-source, he now leads Netdata, a monitoring solution aiming to simplify and modernize infrastructure observability for all of us.

Dave McAllister

NGINX

Currently providing technical OSS insights for NGINX, Dave talks about the advantages of microservices and orchestration to solve distributed systems challenges, especially with open source. Dave has been a champion for open systems and open source from the early days of Linux to today’s world of clouds and containers. He often speaks on topics associated with emerging software architectures and practices, observability, and how open source innovations power today’s world.

Ekene Eze

Shardeum

Ekene Eze is a highly experienced Developer Advocate with over 6 years of professional experience in leading DevRel teams across multiple organizations. He is currently serving as an open source developer advocate at Shardeum where he is helping scale open source efforts, managing contributors and building in public.

Soumaya Erradi

Atlantis

Soumaya is an experienced web developer and a passionate IT and electronics instructor. She is specialized in frontend applications and currently a leading software developer in a blockchain app development team. She spends most of her time exploring what’s new in the tech world and is helping other developers improve their skills.

Patrick Stephens

Chronosphere

Pat has over 20 years experience in software engineering, primarily in the defence domain at Thales. The last few years of this were focused on transformation first to containers then Kubernetes. After Thales he worked on the cloud native team at Couchbase, working on their Golang-based Kubernetes operator. This included producing a custom Fluent Bit deployment for observability needs. Calyptia (founded by the Fluent maintainers) then approached him to come work with them building out their observability products prior to their acquisition this year by Chronosphere.

Vanessa Martini

Red Hat

Vanessa is a Product Manager in the Observability group at Red Hat, focusing on both OpenShift Analytics and Observability UI. She is particularly interested in turning observability signals into answers. She loves to combine her passions: data and languages.

Sven Rebhan

InfluxData

Sven joined InfluxData in 2022 as Senior Software Engineer. He is part of the team maintaining and extending Telegraf. Before joining InfluxData he was one of the community maintainers of Telegraf reviewing PRs and proposing new features. Prior to InfluxData, he worked as a scientist in the domain of energy management, data analysis, autonomous driving, cognitive robotics, and computer vision. Sven is an open-source enthusiast and loves to work with the community to solve challenging problems with code and ingenuity.

Diana Todea

EQS Group

Diana is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at EQS Group and she focuses on Observability. She is passionate about machine learning, serverless and public speaking. She supports women in tech.

Erik Sommer

Grafana Labs

Erik Sommer is a Senior Engineer at Grafana Labs, working as SRE on the platform-team. He transitioned from electrical engineering over embedded to systems into the system engineering space. Working with big clusters to provide CI/CD and improve their efficiency is the red thread that culminated in the current projects at Grafana Labs.
