An Introduction to provisioning of cloud infrastructure

Terraform introduced the new version of the HCL (Hashicorp Configuration Language) 0.12 and changed the way how automatic/programatic cloud infrastructure can be created via it’s newly rewritten language.

This workshop will show how to create cloud infrastructure in a re-useabel and idempotent way with terraform providers for AWS and Openstack, also an introduction into usage of Cloud-Init to install and configure additional software.

– Introduction into the HCL Language
– Setting up/ Creation of Cloud Infrastructure via Terraform and its AWS and OpenStack Providers
– Using cloud-init to install an additional component of software

Please note: the following Linux skills are mandatory!
You feel comfortable with the command line, ssh and vim or an alternative editor.
