Open Source End-to-End Monitoring with Upright
A green status page doesn’t mean your customers can actually log in or check out. HTTP 200s lie – broken JavaScript, expired tokens, or a misconfigured payment provider can leave your business flows silently broken while every uptime check stays happy. In this talk we’ll look at Upright, the freshly open-sourced synthetic monitoring tool from Basecamp and use it to monitor what really matters: real business processes like website logins and shop checkouts. Live on stage, we’ll build a Playwright probe that walks through a login flow from multiple self-hosted locations – including video recordings of every failed run.
